CHECK THE SOLUTION.

Sol. (i) 3Cl2 + 6NaOH(conc.)

5NaCl + NaClO3 + 2H2O

(ii) 2FeBr2 + 3Cl2 ⎯→ 2FeCl3 + 2Br2

(iii) Ca(OH)2 + Cl2 ⎯→ Ca(oCl)Cl + H2O

(iv) 2KI + MnO2 + 3H2SO4 ⎯→

2KHSO4 + MnSO4 + 2H2O + I2

(v) SnCl2 + 2HCl + I2 ⎯→ SnCl4 + 2HI

(vi) 2CaCO3 + 2Cl2 ⎯→ CaCl2 + Ca (ClO2)2 + 2CO

(vii)3Br2 + 2N2CO3 ⎯→ 5NaBr + NaBrO3 + 3CO2
